Northdale Cottage
Haroldswick
from £115 per night
Northdale Cottage is a cosy holiday home nestled within the grounds of a working croft in Haroldswick, Unst, the most northerly inhabited island in the UK. The cottage has passed through four generations of the Mouat family, dating back to the 19th century which originally had a barn with a byre attached. As a family, we have lovingly restored the cottage and connecting barn, carefully maintaining some of the original features such as the stair-case and wood beams.
Northdale Cottage sleeps six people, consisting one twin room and one double room upstairs and one king size link bed that can easily be made into a twin room on the ground floor. A newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower is also situated on the ground floor.
The living areas boasts a cosy cottage style kitchen/dinner that is well equipped for self catering. The large separate living room with smart-TV and plenty of comfortable seating with large patio doors allowing you to sit inside or out and enjoy the scenic views and natural wildlife that surrounds this secluded cottage.
Northdale cottage is known for it's great views and location. Enjoy your morning coffee taking in the scenery from the patio, or utilise the light summer mornings and take advantage of the many walking opportunities on your doorstep. The cottage is also a popular spot for bird watching, with many rare birds having been spotted in the area. Northdale is a peaceful getaway with beautiful views of the Unst countryside - a real treat to visit for all ages.
